The Birds' Riddle [minor spoilers]

So, I'm nearing the end of my Route C playthrough and something kind of confuses me.

To enter the Shadowlord's castle, you're presented with a puzzle by a pair of birds, but it's not a logic puzzle, it's a "how well have you understood the plot so far" puzzle. Weiss says "This sounds familiar."

I deduced the correct answers based on vibes, and each question has only two possible answers, so it's easy to trial and error it. But do we get an explanation for why it's familiar to Weiss? It doesn't really resemble any discussions or notes I've found in game prior to getting to the castle any of the three times I've played it thus far.

I guess it's because weiss was part of project gestalt, but he decided not to remember and help the protagonist

Yeah, what Noctfield said. I don't think it's really feasible for the player to have put it all together themselves until Devola and Popola reveal things later and give you those documents.

Well the black disease question sure but the other two are a bit of a 'wat' moment first time through.
