- SOMA
- PREY (2017)
- Spec Ops: The Line
- Max Payne Trilogy (Difficult game)
If it's on Console
- 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim
- Kojima's Mainline Metal Gear Solid Series
Tbf, even though he is not the main writer. The whole concept, characters, theme, lore and idea is his vision, he has a writer to help flesh out those ideas into a structure and to make it work. This method isn't unheard of in the Entertainment Industry and it's quite common place. In essence it is a Yoko Taro game and a Yoko Taro story because none of it would exist without him. Much said about Tetsuya Nomura for the Final Fantasy Series.
Although where credits due, the whole team as a whole did a create job re-creating the director's vision and the games wouldn't exist without them as well.
If you like the idea of a deconstruction of the Hero's role in a game, and the ideas Nier plays with, play
Spec Ops: The Line, SOMA, and Prey (2017) as the above commenter said but I would add
Braid
SW: KOTOR 1
Amnesia: Justine
Pathologic 2
Outer Wilds
GOLDEN SUN: THE LOST AGE
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
The Bureau: XCom Declassified (no, really, its janky af but way smarter than you wold think)
Bioshock 2: Minerva's Den
Disco Elysium
Planescape Torment has a LOT in common with Yoko Taro games apart from titties. If one seeks story it is just as good if not BETTER than yoko taro games.
As much as i love PLANESCAPE TORMENT (i betatested the game, and worked on mods for it back in the day): NO. Its a really great game tho.
