I'm about to leave a negative review. There's no reason why this game should run 40 fps on a gtx 1060. Changed the ingame setting from high to low, no significant difference. I can't seem to get a decent locked framerate! Even Nier Automata ran better than this!

Performance mode does nothing for me, except make the game blurrier. It does not improve fps.

1070 here, i7 3770k. Getting about 50-60 unstable outside, 45-55 in rooms.

Surprisingly I had no issues with Automata, so I got no idea what's going on here

Maybe the game is more on the cpu side ? I have a 1070 as well and i7 8700 and the game never dip below 55/60 and it's obviously when it's loading something (a cutscene for example). Also i'm playing on 1440p max setting

The game is garbage on PC. It runs better on a weak, base PS4 than on an 8 thead i7 + GTX 1060, at 1080p.

Changing settings in the game makes almost no difference. It runs almost the same at 720p low settings as it does at 1080p high settings. 50% CPU/GPU utilization. Pure garbage port.

Sure you can brute force it if you have powerful hardware, but you shouldn't have to. This is the worst performing game I've ever seen if you compare directly against the base PS4 version. There's very few ports as poor as this pile of ****.

Automata without FAR mod runs better than this junk.

Limit your fps to 60 as the games engine is tied to fps, you're running yourself at hyper speed.

I bought 1060 6gb in 2016 and upgraded to a 2060 in 2019.
It is a 5 year old card. Don't expect it to run any modern title with tip top FPS.

exactly my problem finally some people are going forth with this i thought i was alone in it my gpu is worse than yours meaning i have a gtx 1650 and the same thing gpus worse than mine get better performance on lower resolutions but me nothing 720p is the same unstable 40 to 50 fps as 1080p no nvidia control panel or display refresh rate fix that was recommended worked for me so i had to refund it sadly

game's minimum system requirements says that you need gtx 960 for 720p 60fps and he seems to not get that performance on that resolution so he has a right to expect 60fps but he can't even reach it just like many other people

I have had the exact opposite experience. I'm running the game at 1080p, default High settings on everything, capped at 60fps and have not had an single issue over the past 6 hours I played. According to the fps counter I never went below 60 fps either: it stayed consistent the entire play through while using my Xbox one wireless controller. Meanwhile Automata ran terrible out of the box with broken resolution settings and could barely stay above 40 fps without FAR...and I wouldn't say I have the hardware to brute force anything in this day and age. I have an i7-8700 and a gtx 1070ti that I got to replace my 970 since, with the release of the RTX line the price for 1070ti dropped to $400 CAD. It's a shame some people are having issues but calling it "garbage on pc" is just dramatic, especially now that lots of people have been playing it and, surprise surprise, the game is running just fine for the vast majority.

Doesn't seem like it. I forgot to disable power saver mode (locks cpu to 1.7GHz max, parks idle cores) and even then I didn't even come anywhere close 50% CPU usage (5-10% tops). Most of the heavy lifting was done by the GPU, but even then it maxxed at 40% (on 4k). I can get stable 60 fps, but there's something really weird with resource utilisation as it never went much higher when I tried to let it go up as much as it can (which you don't want because of the speedup, but it was an interesting experiment anyway).

Yeah that same card can run games like Red Dead Redemption 2, Nioh 2, death stranding , horizon zero dawn without problems on 1080p, and is still supported via updates, so don't give us this nonsense.

I've got a 5800x and a GTX 1070 Ti. Running at 1440p and getting 45-55fps even with performance mode and low settings. If I drop it to 1080p it smooths out to 60, but for a 1070 ti, while and older card at this point, I shouldn't have to do that. I normally wouldn't have a problem with 1080p, but 1080p on my 1440p monitor looks like ass. There's nothing overly graphically demanding about this game. Especially compared to Automata (steam+FAR and Game Pass), which ran flawlessly on my card. I was really hoping they'd release the game on the Windows store considering how much better Automata ran as a UWP app lol. How the times have changed to the point I prefer Game Pass/Windows store to steam.
