FPS suddenly locked at 48fps
Hey

So yesterday I played the game the whole day and it ran 60 fps maxed out, no issues. This morning however I launched the game again and it's now randomly locked at 48fps. Didnt change a single thing.

What's the issue here? Anyone know how to fix this?

do you run 144 hz monitor? try setting it at 60 hz

I had this, just start some dialoge or do a mission. That fixed my fps.

Turn off Vsync in your Nvidia Control panel, somehow it syncs to 48fps even though your Monitor goes higher.

I had this last night even after locking FPS to 60. Uninstalled the YorHa DLC and it went up to 60. It also stayed at 60 after re-installing the DLC to test. So it might be related to the DLC or a coincidence for me.

for me forcing vsync on in nvidia panel fixed this. Then frame limiter using specialK not nvidia. I have 165hz gsync panel btw.

I'm running on 60Hz monitor but same thing for me. I kind of found a dumb solution by turing on and off overlay in Radeon software. It's only temporary though. This works only on AMD cards of course.

There was a small patch and I agree since this patch my game is also locked at 48fps -.- Now the whole game feels laggy and kinda slow to me... thats just "great"...

That's not the point, at 2k I can run this game consistently >120fps but then it runs twice as fast compared to intended pace. Tick rate of the world is tied to framerate wich is kinda suprising in a modern video game.

check in nvidia control panel if v-synch is enabled, it lock it to 48, disable it, then limit frame rate to 60 since frame rate do effect how the gameplay itself is.

I load the game from the options menu in game and it fixes this bug.

that happens when you first load the game. But when you go to another screen (either a cutscene or when you change locations) it gets fixed.

Anyone having this issue, there is a temporary fix. Follow this guide.

Basically, open nvidia control panel and force the framerate to 60 fps and turn on vsync to fast.

It worked for me.
