Game stuck at 48 fps
Max Frame Rate is set to 60 and vsync is off. Is there a fix?

Bump.

Same problem here. Weird thing tho i had 60fps before i entered the village the first time. Closed the game, bam 48fps.

I found following steps for temporary FPS fixing:
1. Load game, load your save file(in this moment i have 48 fps)
2. Go to main menu, load again your save file(in this moment i have 80 fps)

Same thing, but locked at 40 no matter what settings/resolution I have, threaded optimisation is off, vsync on, max fps is 60

Doesn't work for me sadly

Exactly the same for me. Not that it was consistent 60 to begin with.

Specs:

i7-10750H
RTX 2070
16 GB RAM

I see, I will try that out.

alright figured it out. nvidia control panel: per application settings:
vsync: on,
threaded optimisation: off,
max framerate: 60

and dont forget to restart the game

This worked for me while keeping my refresh rate at 144hz and it caps the game at 60.

For nvidia and high refresh rate monitor owners open nvidia control panel -> click on manage 3d settings. Click on program settings tab and find nier replicant exe from drop down or click on add button and you should see it there. Then scroll down and change max frame rate to 60, scroll all the way down and change vertical sync to off.

Like Neir Automata, you're going to have to wait for Special K mod to play it properly. There aren't many Japanese studios that make good PC ports, Capcom is the only Japanese developer I can think of that makes proper PC versions of their games.

Unfortunately, out of all the options given, this is the only one that is working for me. If I can get the game to play locked 60 that would be great too.

It really sucks that Square made great ports for the Kingdom Hearts series and Dragon Quest 11, yet both Nier games fumbled.

That worked for me. Thx!

I turned off v-sync in my video card control panel and it fixed that. Using a 144hz monitor, not sure if that matters. Oh and it's a g-sync monitor.

But yeah, turn off v-sync and cap the framerate at 60 in your video card settings and it will be fine.

I also have a 144fps monitor, unfortunately doing that doesn't work for me.

Dude, that's wild hahaha completely undoes the frame cap.
I want the frame, but I want to to sit as 60, not 48

I had to also change my monitors refresh rate to 60 to get a 60FPS instead of 48.
So, this is what I did.

vsync: on,
threaded optimisation: off,
max framerate: 60

In System settings:
• Display
• Advanced Display Settings (at the very bottom)
• Change Refresh rate to 60.000Hz at the very bottom
