Performance Issue with good computer. Does anyone have an Idea why ?

Ok, so everyone is talking about the problems of being over 60fps.
That's great and all, but I have a RTX 3080 (Yeah it exists, that's not a myth) and I don't have smooth 60 fps in 4K.
My GPU has still lots of room to go, so does my CPU and I could run the game 8 times and still have some RAM.
My computer doesn't even get a little hot.
So can someone tell how the F Am I supposed to make it work ? I tried anything in the video setting menu and it doesn't change the framerate one bit, I am still at 50 to 58 fps with micro drops.
I tried using Nvidia control panel, tweaking what seem to be able to do anything, but nope, didn't do crap.
Also my drivers are up to date.

The only thing that could get me a buttery smooth 60FPS was to scale down the resolution.
So yeah, that's a bit weird.

I'm not saying it's unplayable, far from it, but, you know I'm kinda confused right now.

So does anyone have the same problem / would know what I'm doing wrong / How I could force my computer to actually boost the game since it seem to clearly be able to ?

I'm running the game with an RTX 3080 and haven't had any issues whatsoever apart from the super speed I got when I initially launched the game. Once I set max FPS in Nvidia Control Panel for the game to 60 it fixed it and it has actually been running a lot better than Nier Automata and haven't encountered any issues yet.

I am running it with a G-SYNC compatible display (LG CX) but other than that not sure what could be causing your issues. I've set everything to max settings at 4k and it holds 60 very well and haven't had any micro stutters or anything.

Hope you find a way to get to the bottom of it since I know from experience that definitely shouldn't be happening with the card you have.

Ok, I just did 3 things.
Updated gpu drivers,
Forced vsync through CP
Forced Maximum performance mode through CP.

I get 4K 60fps now no problem.

Yeah I have the exact same thing, I tried caping frame at 30 just to make sure Control panel worked, and it did, nothing seems to make the game run those 60fps at 4K.

I have AMD processor, could it be the cause ?
Or does the game maybe have a built-in limitation on power usage or something ?

I am running in Intel processor, so I don't think it is an AMD or Intel issue, must be something in the game engine.

I have a RTX 2080 Ti and i7 8700k with 32GB RAM running at 4k and with a frame monitor running I've never seen it go below like 58 fps but that was really just a split second loading. I'm just past the first dungeon.

So IDK what to say...

Ok wow thanks for the answer. Well then if you get enough FPS to have the speedy boi issue then I really don't know what to think.
My screen is not G-Sync compatible.
Is your CPU AMD or Intel ?

Yeah it's definitely not related to the processor since I have a Ryzen 3950X paired with my 3080 and haven't had those issues at all. Very strange.

Was just in the process of commenting that lol, yeah I am on AMD so it can't be due to that. Can't imagine what else could be doing it, maybe some background applications could be interfering with it possibly?

I have an i7 and have a solid 60 at 4k so I don't think it's that.

Ok i need to try that, I'll redownload the drivers just in case.
Then I'll have to find out what Maximum performance is called in French and I'll try that, thanks for the update.

Playing with a 3060, same problem. GPU usage is around 50% and i can't get 60 fps neither on 2k nor on full hd.

Yes, when i use 4k using nvidia dsr the game is capped at 20fps, i don't know why

At native res (2k 144hz) the game is running at 100+ fps avg
