Physical copy of the game come with a code in the box of the game and it need to be put on a launcher who's on the CD to be able to redeem the steam key of the game.
If like me you don't have a CD drive on your pc (but i have an external one) you will have to find a way to get your code.
Ye , it's seems like i have to wait for my neighbour with notebook ;///
Luckily enough i bought an external drive on wish a few month ago even if at first it was supposed to be a blu ray drive but hey at least i will be able to play today.
Still strange to force that kind of way to unlock the digital version of the game by using a physical CD to redeem a steam key...
There's a code inside the box but it's not a steam key, the CD-Rom has a program that converts the code in the box into a usable steam key; same was the case for Life is Strange 2's collectors edition, so yh, without a drive to run the disk on there's no way to get the steam code.
Code in box aren't a steam code, it's a "redeem code" who need to be put on their redeem launcher who's on the disc before getting your steam key.
this code is also a one time use only so they can't be thrown around unless you want to lose your right to claim your game.
