Long answer: Still Yoko Taro
I don't think yoko taro care that much about explaining ♥♥♥♥ in the taroverse, like the nier automata raid in FFXIV is supposed to be canon for the series but peoples are lost because nothing is explained.
After a guy and his pet dragon beat a god in a game of Dance Dance Revolution in the sky over modern day Tokyo and earned a missle sandwich for their bravery, the god turned into salt that turned people into salt. To protect humanity from turning salty, governments stole their souls to make them live forever until they could clean up the salt, but the souls said "♥♥♥♥ you" and went rabid. Then the prologue ends.
So. Yeah. Yoko Taro.
Well that's the fun thing about Nier and Drakengard in general, is all the endings that "can" be canon and lead to entirely different pathways in the Taroverse. In theory we could end up with a buttload of different games.
Just keep playing.
Yeah i see that when playing to drakengard and nier/automata but now they've put "canon content" inside a final fantasy game who's also an MMO and that lead to some ♥♥♥♥ with a seed of destruction and an "Intoner" like boss.
He's messing with us in every direction possible at this point.
Did some reading and it looks like FF14 Raid could actually be related to Ending E with the repeating timelines for the pods rebuilding the units. Since 2P doesn't exactly exist in Automata, but in theory could after Ending E since they rebuild units.
wait till the end itll all come together. just like automata ont he 5 playthoughs you need them all to truely get it.
there nothing to really know besides the virus from there is tied to this one. and the secret ending from that one was actually a joke that turned into neir
