As for contollers a solution for me was to start the game from big picture mode.
she doesn't have anything like that. All she has is her pc and nothing else, not even Vjoy or things like that. We went through Device Manager and everything.

also found out it could be your mouse, I am using a ASUS ROG Chakram wireless mouse and for some odd reason the game was thinking this was a controller. Plug in a regular mouse that I had laying around and the game started to work fine using MnK
its the little analog stick on the chakram doing it, its treated as a controller
which means that i'll need a spare mouse when i get back to finishing this game off
you mean the wheelie??? But every mouse has one of those nowadays, like... we need to have a mouse from the 90's or some ♥♥♥♥ again to be able to play this game correctly? O_o. Like seriously... how is this ♥♥♥♥ still not fixed?
The Chakram mouse has a literal analog stick on it in addition to the scroll wheel (it can also be set to act as a keyboard button press, mine is set to act as arrow keys)
This game is the ONLY game i've run into that has issues with it
that is still weird as f...., hmmm... I'll ask her if she has a spare mouse to see if that solves the issue, but it's just ridiculous. Doesn't Square Enix not care about this game doing well?
