Maybe I can see you doing a Warehouse sector where it's a Cargo Sector for all your cargo ships, as that way all your resources can get sorted and taken to whatever sectors that are needed. But outside of that option, a Warehouse sector will only make it so that you need to do some extra manual micro in remembering to check up on that sector every so-minutes in order to change the desired capacity levels in the Trade Screen.

There a 2 situations. 1) You are collecting ressources and 2) you use your stored goods.
During 1) open your space sectror trasfer panel and set it to 0. Then right of it change the priority to export to your industry sector to high. Set the industry sector to max -10 and the storage sector to max -10. Now, as long you as there are materials coming in, the industry sector will be topped off and the rest goes to the storage sectore.
When your get to 2) you have to set the storage sector to 0 and now the industry sector will get everythin from the storage sector.
