mouse only
Because of an disability i can only use the mouse. Can I play the game only with a mouse or is a keyboard needed?

Only mouse should be fine. I don’t remember any instance where the keyboard was really required.

There's only really three times you could need a keyboard, and two of them certainly have on screen alternatives.

-The Space Bar to pause the game. Has an on screen option.
-The ESC key for the menu option. Has an on screen option.
-The number keys to set limits on how many people can be sent to any one sector when thawed out. Doesn't have an on screen option that I noticed but can be worked around easily enough so long as you keep an eye on a sectors population when the building responsible is active.

One of the challenges here would be the +/- buttons which increase/decrease resource counts and crew counts when transferring from one area to another. They change in increments of 10 in response to the mouse, but you can hold CTRL while clicking +/- to do fine increments of 1. I noticed this came as a surprise to some people who were just typing the numbers in instead. So without simultaneous keyboard CTRL hold this could be tricky, but still playable since I found it rare to need to do that - typical increments of 10 were fine for almost all situations, but a few times I wanted to fine-control the number of workers in each sector with CTRL.

That aside, I'm a pretty lazy player on this game and I dislike using the keyboard, and overall I find the game very playable lounging in the chair and just mousing it even when certain keys might make things faster. I do slam the spacebar for panic pauses from time to time, but that's easy for me, but most of the time I just mouse even that button.

I'm gonna bookmark this thread and the next time I play I'll try only using mouse and see what other obstacles I encounter.

You can definitely do it with all mouse, resource transferring has a slider that you can use, no need to be perfectly precise with that. For transferring people between sectors, just use the + or ++ buttons, again usually no need for precise count. the only keyboard button I press is probably ESC and there is absolutely no need to do that.

Saving game may require you to type save name I think?

Mouse scroll also work fine with resource number, so there is nothing you can't do without keyboard except loadng screen ("press and hold space bar to continue") and naming savefiles as you wish, not as game offers.
Yes you can. I did. No problems.

It offers mouse buttons for increments of 5 / 10.
It's really all you need. Never had a case where I needed to transfer like 3 people?

Mouse scroll wheel changing numbers by 1 ;-)
I used keys F1, F2, F3, F4 1, 2, 3, space excessivly but they all have buttons.

I wished it had more keys, in fact it LACKS hotkeys for opening the feet screen, the population transfer screen and things or did I miss that?
