Ark of Humanity Chapter 3 mission
This mission is absurd. Awakening 2000 cryonic pods, in itself isn't too bad..... but when this mission only triggers AFTER getting into Ch3 is where it goes from "ok, this is something necessary for humanity to survive" into being "what in the absolute ♥♥♥♥?!!?!"

Assuming you have maxed cryonic facility research, you awaken 1 person every 0.2 cycles, which is 5 people per cycle per facility. Awakening 2000 people therefore is over 500 DAYS(!!!!), if you either can't or won't build multiple Facilities. And it doesn't count any of the sleepers you picked up from near-Earth space (Ch1), or the sleepers from the Protageras (in Ch2).

Even if you have perfect resource management, and a metric-ton of resources so you can actually just AFK on maximum speed-boost without actually... you know, playing the game? This mission just takes too damn long to be anything postive, it's boring, it's uninteresting, and it seems to function as nothing more than an unnecessary time-sink to force people to "play" the game longer.... especially since the game automatically pauses if you alt-tab, so you can't even load a movie, or binge TV shows while you wait for enough time to pass to awaken 2000 sleepers.

This mission needs to start earlier (and have a higher total), or retroactively count progress from earlier chapters, so if I awaken all ~750 pods from around Earth and the ~1400 pods from the second system, I would automatically finish.

I'm writing this while Steam is playing (thankfully Steam overlay doesn't pause!!), my Tiqqun has a total population of 3100 right now, and I still have to thaw another 1000 pods, AND I still have another 2300 pods I could possibly gather from the Cruc system before I even jump to Ch4. Absolutely ridiculous

When I slap myself in the face, it hurts - what is this nonsense?!!!1

I did that mission with just two cryo facilities.

If it’s gonna you 500 days, then use those days to build the infrastructure to deal with the new 2k bodies you’re bringing in. A housing sector for example.

And tbh you shouldn’t be moving on with cryopods in storage anyway. There’s literally no reason to rush, so sit tight and build the infrastructure etc.

Yes you have to build more facilities. You should also upgrade the cryo building, I think it's useful as a prerequisite for other techs anyway

I had 10 running with upgrades (then just remove them after)

never used more than 2 cryos at once. just use the time to rework sectors to prepare for the amount of people, expand, mine ressources, research, etc etc. theres always stuff to do

go figure.... limited space on the ship means I can only build so many things at once. Amazing right?

Maybe if I had all 6 sectors up, I could afford to just build all sorts of garbage. But when you badly need space for things that actually keep you alive, it's really hard to justify the 5x7 space for a second or third Cryogenic facility when 1 is sufficient for 90% of the game.

This is LITERALLY the only time you need to mass-thaw pods.

I mean you had to open a new sector too, right? There's definitely space.
In this game you don't lose resources if you deconstruct something, you can add them just for this "mission" and dismantle them later

Ark of Humanity gives so many workers, I am surprised you do not have all sectors unlocked before you finish this one, and that is tons of room and allow you do use specialization in each sector.

For me it was
Sector 1, Space T2
Sector 2, Food T2, Waste T1
Sector 3, Population T2 (I moved all non workers here)
-This is where I put nothing but houses and 10 Cryo facilities.
Sector 4, Storage and Drones
Sector 5, Recycling T2 (all waste got moved here)
Sector 6, Industry T2

Also I never used any Cell-House since they do not help with Stability but I did sit in Chap 2 for a long time to get things the way I wanted (All crypods opened before warping), and in Chap 3, I also made sure I was only loading crypods on as fast as I can open them.

I'm only using cell housing in my population sector as they generate more waste than the domotic housing. I tried to balance it so I still get the +3 stability from having >50% in domotic houses.
