Too many Accidents
I really think the Accident Mechanic should be changed.

It's just too much to get an Accident every 1 or 2 Minutes.... Make Accidents something that costs Material to repair and make them less often so that you can do something else than looking who stubbed his toe.

A game should be fun. Right now it's more like work...

EDIT: thanks for pointing out you can automate the repairing (with a workshop technology)

yeah i've only played 2 hours and it's already happening LITERALLY every 20 seconds. (on fast speed)
and why do we have to manually confirm the repair every time? this is the most silly part about it. (considering you get a heavy penalty until you've clicked on repair for everything)
i feel like i'm not progressing anymore because all i do is slow down time every few seconds to make sure everything is repaired. seriously.

You can unlock a protocol under the workshop to automate repairs of damaged buildings. Life was much better when i unlocked that but still the accidents are just terrible game play and im about ready to just wait till someone mods them out lol. Apparently today's patch tweaks the accident rate but unless its like a 75% reduction im not sure.

Well I had 7 ships explode due to weather in a single cycle, that's on top of a ton of accidents as well. I really hope they decide to look at things because there's no way thats intended.

Yeah the attrition levels are stupid insane. There should be an easy mode that turns off or down accidents and hull repair so people who enjoy the story can enjoy the game rather than fight the clock.

In my game, accidents always happen in two sectors at the same time, like clockwork. And that once every 7 cycles, almost like clockwork. Very annoying, especially when crew dies due to an explosion.

While I really enjoy a challenge, I find it a bit puzzling that the devs didn't have a few sliders for difficulty. I hope that's an option as they update the game. They're probably swamped with all the (mostly rightful) complaints about balance and bugs

Looks like the patch just released addresses accidents

Well Optically its an really awesome game but makes no fun to play if all you do is maintain the accidents...
Accidents happen in part due to happiness levels, and partly due to crew amounts.

If you click on the crew tab it opens a menu that shows all of your crew in each section.
Colonists, and non workers suck for work areas.
Workers need to be a minimum of YELLOW number text to reduce accidents, optimally green for little to no accidents.

If the color text for workers is DARK YELLOW, ORANGE, or RED.. You will have accidents constantly.

Make sure to hover over each unlocked section of the ship to see each sections worker pool. That will help balance out the issues.

Also, you will want to have atleast 2 or 3 "landmarks" that boost morale/happiness, or that will punish you as well. And that is PER ship section. I have 3 in all 3 of my sections.

maybe automatic repairing should be there from the beginning or it should be more clear that you can research it.
seems like a lot of people are giving negative reviews because of this.

Accidents should not happen if work condition is optimal, at least it shouldn't cause deaths. I've had high stability and optimal workspace condition then suddenly boom, 4 of my workers instantly die in an explosion.

Max work safety, everyone is happy and fed and still get accidents. I really hope they patch this soon, otherwise there's just too much rng.

Honestly at this point it doesn't seem to even be RNG. I'm getting accidents in all five of my sectors every 28-29 cycles.

If you keep working conditions on Optimal level, there would be little to no accidents (I had one in like 200 cycles, and they seem to be all event-based ones). If you don't, it spirals out of control.
