No way to transfer water to different sectors
My dumb ass trying to make an industrial sector (sector 6) by placing all the factories in it and another sector for food (sector 2)

The fun part is the game doesn't let me to transfer the water from 6 to 2.

It would be nice to have pipes running through sectors, and maybe have the option to build a big reservoir that supplies the station.

Do you have a stockpile for the water in the target sector? Are both stockpiles (the one in the sector that produces the water as well as the one receiving the water) powered on?

You may also need to set a demand for the target sector (some or all of the water you can give to that sector). The UI is finicky when it comes to transferring resources between sectors.

Water is stored in the fusion factory itself. Ice is stored in storage. This is literraly stated in the building description dude.

But there is NOT water stocpile. You can stock Ice, but not water
Actually there is even a prompt when you mouseover on the water in bottom left corner of screen that it CANNOT be moved between sectors

This is the most annoying thing in this game. Why is that, really why??

The bonus speculation for Industrial sucks anyway.
-Space
-Recycle
-Food
Are worth trying to get to T2, but no point in Industrial.

Imagine building self sustaining space station to save humanty and then only after mission launch someone notices lack of water pipes.

The only part of your station that would need the industrial scale water pipes needed to transport the amount of water the fusion station can create would be the one you are growing food in.
Even then it's only needed if you are making use of either crop farms or algae farms (which strictly speaking are still a type of crop, but I digress).

So if you need water in such a sector, why not just build the building that makes water in that same said sector? More so as it also doubles up as the storage area for the end product.

that would be too logical for OP

Ignore the haters. Water being piped around the entire ship is literal science. Water makes for a fantastic radiation shield in space. Google it. The rumor is the water and waste systems will be separate, but will be wrapped around the living space of the Mars mission. So the astronauts will be protected from radiation by water tanks and waste tanks.

But, just because it makes sense, doesn't mean that the devs have to make sense.

Stockpiles are for dry storage :) Although they have no problem storing Hydrogen gas.

The purpose of the Fusion station is not just melting ice (you don´t need much for that): It is storing large amounts of water (1000 units), quickly needed when farming. Water transport on pipes at enough rate would require big pumps, since the Tiqqun does not have different altitudes like Earth (water does not come from the sky). If you´d transport water at a low rate you´d still need lots of local storage space for the farms.

Discovered you also can't transfer water from one fusion reactor to another one in the same sector. So pick your placement well, if you move it you'll lose it.
