To bring it back, you can deactivate the lighting game profiles through iCue, the cog icon for settings, then "Software and Games", then deleting the Ixion profiles.
I don't see any option to disable it.
It would be a much better experience for users if there was a checkbox in the game settings menu to enable or disable iCUE integration rather than having to open iCUE to do so. It would also be even better if the lights actually worked with this game. I'd be delighted if I could also alt-tab and the game would release its grip on my lights, I have three monitors and I'm not always focused on the game window.
My experience was on a Corsair K70 RGB Cherry MX Red Keyboard (first version not MK.2).
