Accidents and hull integrity
Not sure what is up with my workers, but they seem to have constant accidents. And what is probably the most annoying part, despite having an EVA and constantly using resources for repairing the hull, it is constantly decreasing. It got to the point where i had to remove some of my buildings because i was running out of resources to repair the damn hull. In the end i had to give up on the game because no matter what i do, the hull keeps getting below 10%. The repairs do not seem to do anything. Is this a bug, or did you guys had the same problem? Stuff like this makes the game less enjoyable.

I'd say wait for a week or two for the devs to patch the difficulty. They've pinned a post saying they'll address the accident rate and frankly, that's great cause it's the number one complaint from almost everyone who plays this. I actually counted and the rate of accidents in an optimal sector is almost the same as the rate of building breakdowns in an overworked sector

Accidents tends to happen very frequently the moment a sector is "Extra Hours" or "Overwork", so getting rid of those debuffs ASAP is a very real priority. Maybe the balance isn't there or there's a bug, but even extra hours causes accidents to happen every 2-5 cycles, and every damaged building will increase hull loss until they're fixed. So if you have 3-5 buildings that are broken, that can increase your hull loss by 5-10 per cycle. Important to fix them asap.

There are some Modifiers for the hull dmg.
The Question is, is the engine damage modifier perma or should it get lost after x cycles?
It's permanent and it gets worse with each jump.

Keeping up with hull damage and the constant drain of iron is pretty tough even early game especially when your trying to expand and every little thing needs iron. There is only so much of it in a system and you cant hang out in a system to long anyways before you start getting the terrible earth death sickness debuff which kills moral.

I really liked the game at first but the downward spiral of damage management is too frustrating and depressing

It was very frustrating playing for the first time for me as well, Try as hard as I could I could not keep anyone happy or the workload decent. It seems that the tutorial sets you up for failure, not a stable way to continue playing. Also, I thought it was to be an open world type game, not missions and requirements.

honestly haven't had a single accident as long as I never have more jobs than workers.

Very frustrating. Went from 700 Hull integrity to 250 in 10 mins due to random events. I'm not playing the game anymore until this is patched and addressed. Also I'd like to point out that I'm tired of having to work out game kinks for game developers. List it as Early access otherwise. Tired of paying full price for broken games.
