Should i talk to the secret off limits station?

I found the top secret Dolos research facility in the prelude. Should i contact them before jumping or not?

As I see it there are 3 scenarios.

Leave it alone as ordered.
break the rules and make a deal with them.
Contact them but refuse the deal.

Do these different choices actually make a difference in the next phase of the game? The prompt says that if i refuse the deal the top secret research facility will be dismantled since their cover is blown. Like does that actually mean it wont be there in stage 2?

You can build the probe launcher in the prologue if you're careful with resources. However, polymers are quite limited so you may run out before you can build a probe like I did.

you get some goodies if you help them and a achievement for discovering them.
There are no long term consequences beyond the reward or the not receiving it.

I also found them "premature". I canceled the contact option.
And yes. The station can still be found later.
(So it will not be dismantled).

exactly, there are no resources in the system. So when you scan the system with your probe you only see one place with some science to collect. check it out and you get in trouble for revealing it, but the people yelling at you will be dead soon anyway so maybe still worth it
