"building must be connected to an active stockpile"

I feel like I shouldn't be getting this message. Am I missing something here? Does the pre-built road around the space dock function fully as a road or is it somehow different?

Can you change the orientation of a building prior to building it?

are you really sure it is connected to a "road" with its yellows arrows ?

Im having the same problem. Yes ive even deleted the buildings and put them back down. rotated them. arrows are into the roads. its green when it goes down

I think I bugged mine because I deleted called to decon my two warehouses while two new ones were being build cause of the limitation on where you can place the docking bays and probes. So as soon as I called for the decon of my original alloy warehouse all hell broke loose and they would no longer grab/deliver alloy even to warehouses needing to be built

I had the same problem. Was very confusing. The problem was that I set the building first, and then built roads to it. Once the roads are built, dismantle the building (it wouldnt have used materials to build yet since it thinks it cant get any) and put it back down.

I'm having the same issue. This game is BROKEN as F**K. Seriously? 30 cycles in and I'm being F**KED?

same problem, buildings were working .. transferring resources between sectors no worries.. suddenly no production bldg. connects to a stockpile. And they were working just fine.. WTF?

Been having the same issue multiple times. Sometimes it works to save, exit and reload the save. However now this does not work all the time

Steps what i did to solve this issue:

1. create a new stockpile and enable the resources you want to switch with your stockpile you want to delete
2. disable the resources on your stockpile you want to delete (do not set the building for dismantlement!)
3. (not sure if this step is needed, dont think so) i removed the road at the doors and made them again
4. my stockpile that i wanted to delete was not active anymore but in "repair" status and got active again after repairs (not sure if this is happening to all)
5. now all resources from the old stockpile are transfered to the new stockpile
6. once all recourses has been moved i could dismantle the old building

If (when) an accident happens at your stockpile, it will be out of commission until fixed, meaning nothing can use it and will say they are not connected to an active stockpile.

I don't know about everyone else but I was initially working under the assumption that a building was connected if any side of the building was touching a road that was part of the wider network. Ixion differentiates between the sides of a building, some (1?) of them can interface with a road and some cannot. A building can be adjacent to a road and still be disconnected, a "door" facing side of the building has to have road in order for the building to be part of the network.

this can also happen with a correctly placed building when there is a power shortage. You get the same message.
