Am I missing something or just hit a bug? Fleet Management window shows 0 on available food. Cargo ship made just one run and stopped. I'm now running out of own food.

Looks like working different now. It's not just unlimited supply, but only when you running out of food.

To be fair, it makes far more sense that a mission to visit another planet would need to be able to produce it's own food and not be wholly reliant on a station that is still back by the earth .

They actually added in for this demo period, the ability to research the Insect Farm to provide food. In fact, an event asks you to build 2 of them.
