Same here. Windowed, dark screen, frog sound, then nothing. I've played other Sherlock games with no problems.
Anyone know how to start game in normal screen?

Have you tried to set a compatibility mode in Windows?

Other than that I can tell you that it works great on Linux via Proton. Kinda ironic ...

Also as a side note as a developer (but not of this game): When you report a bug or ask how go get something to work a bit of basic info like what OS you are on (win10/11 and so on) really helps. Otherwise it's more of a "Cool story, bro" thing.

Thank you for your suggestions.
I am not computer smart , so I wouldn't have thought to mention OS information, so thanks for telling me that I should do that. Cheers.

This can be fixed by alt-tabbing out of the game and then grabbing the top left corner and resizing the window until about 1024x768 resolution. For me it works at least.

But there is a bug with mouse cursor, the windows and the game appear to be fighting over it, it behaves very erratically. If someone finds how to fix that, please do share.

I played this game when I was a kid so I'd love to try it again.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Still haven't had any luck! :104:

Actually better and more reliable way is to take the window and drag it to the top of the screen until Windows tries to make it full screen that way. After the intro had played (2-4s) When you do that it snaps to the pixel-perfect original resolution of the game which seems to be 640x480. I think if I could find a display compatible with that resolution I would be able to play with no issues because it would probably be full screen and windows wont mess with the cursor.
