Infinite energy, but low max. Four casting slots.
At any rate I've had better luck playing almost any other race with a 2 or 3 per level stat growth as caster.
Also I tried the shadow skull and I find them nearly unplayable. Maybe I need to crutch class and go caster later on them but early game you just grind yourself down on the very first non-rat enemy you fight even if you never get hit. Maybe I was just unlucky and you accelerate into ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ OPness afterwards but the start was so rough it was despiriting.
Or just go Wrought since they're one of the strongest all around races until CHM gets changed, and possibly still after that.
3 is high and 4 per level is restricted to the really odd races.
Like Fubar said, they have infinite energy. The blue orbs on the bar are ''free'' casts so unless you spam beyond that then you shouldnt need points in Eng. Wands Quad casting also massively boosts this.
Further Seemujh only get one stat point per level, and I just double checked and that is definitely the case.
Furtherer no one said 2 points per level is bad, the implication of my statement was that I would play a different race that instead had those qualities, implying (apparently failing) that Seemujh didn't as they instead have one point per level.
So in conclusion, energy related boosts are useless, no class that has them is actually better suited to casting in the late game where food isn't a problem. And Seemujh have a 1 stat point growth per level, which is abhorrent and should be spat upon.
I want a either some sort of big int boy, someone who has a combined stat with int, or some sort of special effect related to specifically casting.
Just because you dont like it doesnt change anything. Seemujh is the caster race.
I was wondering why there wasn't one, and instead of saying "Yeah that sucks and is a genuinely strange thing considering there is a swath of races exceptionally suited to other classes." two people came here to say "Ackshueally, the Seemujh kinda."
Kinda isn't good enough considering every other class but leader has several "A Bunch" synergies. It's a mechanical hole that needs filling in a game that has room to fill it.
The point of the thread was to hopefully get the dev to add one by noticing this as a flaw. You aren't being clever, you are just trying to be smarmy while now realizing what should have been obvious from the beginning.
If you want to argue that the Seemujh is just as good at casting as the speed strength combo race is at warrioring that'd be a different story. You'd be wrong, but you could try.
Smarmy? You asked a question and it was answered. Now your just being a whiny ♥♥♥♥ because you didnt get the answer you wanted. Stop acting like a child now when you get it pointed out.
Your question : I was wondering if there would ever be a race made that actually has a particular aptitude at being a caster?
The answer : Seemujh
Now ♥♥♥♥ off
This is an in development game, and the collection of races is lacking in this area. This is a more than reasonable suggestion.
