And ye, as the store says, the dungeon goes on endlessly, and you get to revisit/switch zones every few floors
However, I should stress that while technically it is possible to go endlessly, the dungeon does ramp up in difficulty and at some point does become stronger than the player by a fair margin eventually, meaning you will inevitably die, but hey, that's part of the challenge, the higher the floor number, the more insane it becomes to stay alive
edit: oh yes, I forgot to mention there is no ending yet, but I would like to add it alongside a final boss at some point
It looks like a ton of fun, but an ending or an ultimate purpose is a requirement for me.
( But it end )
Edit: Also, @tiger, I'm sure I've said this somewhere before, but if you're good at the game or find a good build, you could easily go on forever. Naturally new players will inevitably die, but there are ways to keep going for hundreds of floors if you can find it :)
What is up with the scaling on the King fight? It's all well and good until the (already dead at the time) assistant ressurects him and one shots me through 9k hp and 7k armor.
Overall, the longer you take to finish the game, the harder it'll get, since the boss scales off of floor, and eventually the player will gain levels slower than they move through floors, so the bosses eventually catch up and get much stronger than you, so it's something to keep in mind x)
Since you had 9k hp, I'm guessing you were very far into a run, where the bosses easily had high stats due to the current floor, that combined with either a surprise beam or the cross move, I can easily imagine getting one-shotted at that point :(
