I'd like a sort of planning mode, where you click on the factory, design it as you want, and THEN click build, paying the cost that adds up as you go. That'd be nice for new factories, but I'm not sure how it'd work for replacing/expanding existing factories. Perhaps an option when you click on the factory to "Edit" right under the "Demolish" option? The game would have to keep track of the overall footprint to notify you of whether you have the room, but it'd be nice.
As it is, I really enjoy the game since the "Easy" mode came out, but I think some tinkering with the factories would be nice.
It's not a waste of money, you get 100% of your money back on everything built and the resources are unlimited so the only thing you are losing is time spent having to rebuild everything.
That is however the whole point of the game, constantly rebuild to be more efficient and change production to suit what you need.
Ressources is not an issue here, there is plenty of them, money neither, because you got full refund for each items in your factory (except maybe for the cost of the doors)
