Is it worth the 30$
Haven't bought it yet been reading the reviews, hope to post here to weed out most of the narrow minded people, just wondering what people are thinking and if its a worth buy or wait for a sale type game?

Buy Factorio. Better bang for the buck. Has an established modding community many tutorials and incredibly optimized game code allowing for 1000 science pack per minute bases to run at 60 FPS UPS.

Factorio is much duller at the beginning (takes forever to get the drones and make the game fun), and at the same time can be addictive in unfun way. Actually wouldn't recommend it because of this.

It depends on your income/situation. Basically ensure that $30 is amount you can spend without negative consequences, then go to youtube watch videos by skye and think whether you like it.

I think a good idea would be to wait and see if the developer addresses issue with taxes officially first though.

SO VERY worth every penny. I love factorio but I like this better, At least for now. So much detail and options if you play it more than a couple hours. Just now getting into the combiner and using the claws INSIDE my factory, WOW

Could you define duller in what way?

Yes. Just about to finish my first map, will definately work on other maps

I played it for a few hours so far and no I do not think it is worth $30. I'd say $15 at most as an early access title. This game has a lot of potential but it just isn't quite there yet.

100% worth it

I would say but Factorio if you want an actual production based game, buy this one if you like puzzle games. There are some decisions that will make your head explode, as long as you think of it as a production game instead of a puzzle game.
Personally having backed Factorio for $ 45 and paid $30 for this one I would buy Factorio anyday, it already has modding and a very established community.
But I can see why you would buy this game instead.

first day i played it 11 hours and a great bit of fun figuring it out

Yes it is, for me anyway.

It's purely subjective.
Personally I think it's overpriced for what it is atm but saying that it's also very addictive and if you like this sort of puzzle building style game it's 50/50 worth it.

I've gotten 35.5hrs of playtime out of it since launch so far and not bored yet

In contrast it was around $40 Aus and Transport Fever 2 has just entered preorder for $42 so you make a judgement based on that.

It is plain boring. You're running around with the wrench, biters aren't really a threat (the REAL threat is the damn train), and it takes quite a bit of time to get industry rolling so you can have fun with the drones. When you get a drone swarm and multiple satellite views it gets more interesting, but prior to that point there's too much waiting involved, and the pace is SLOW. That's the dull part. Factorio always felt like some critical component is missing from it.
