Unlock Crate Gate

I'm having the same problem as some other people, hope someone will help with this. I'm trying to unlock Crate Gate , it shows 0/25 iron iv'e hauled iron for day's and it never changes. And i do have all my research upgrades done. What are we missing here. Thanks PS and i do have the claw train above it unlock.

When you put coal ore in the refiner with the crates. Coal crates come out. Then make a pipe that sucks the coal out of the crate into a silo et voila: pure coal. Same is with iron and gold

It needs refined ore, smelt it first, then do what DinkleFairy said above here... ;-)

Make sure it is refined Iron, not the stuff directly from the mine

I don't think i'm getting this but will with your help. Okay i'm running iron ore thru the refinery and it comes out the other side of refinery as iron at least i think it does, got the trucks set up to just haul iron.

You need to put 25 crate loads of iron into a research pod. As soon as you redeem the research points the goal is met.

You need to feed the Research Labs with Iron. So refine Iron Ore to Iron, unload the crates to a Silo and move the Iron to the Research Lab

Have you researched using iron (not iron ore!)

I have done all the Research unlocks. When it comes out of the Refiner i don't know how to get it into the research bay to research it. I don't know how to transfer. I've looked on youtube and haven't seen it yet. I need help with this, my brain is just not getting it.
