Only a part of the map in the upper right is visible. No idea of my objective, HALP. I ARE NUB

Playing the game in widescreen resolution will cause parts of the user-interface to be cropped off the screen.

If it is something else besides the screen, you can press M to find your mission target and N and B to cycle through them. Also to get the missions to begin with, you have to hit ENTER to get to them among other things. That will be explained in the tutorial. But if on Windows 10 you will most likely have to give User Account Control or your system will most probably freeze up when hitting ENTER, but it is the only way to proceed.

WRT UAC, try running the game without Administrator Mode on - it appears to run fine without it.
As for the map and objectives, I think it's the orange triangle on the radar screen isn't it?
