Project Torque NOT WORKING????

I installed this game with great hope and anticipation but upon starting up I get only the loading screen and a small white spinning icon. And then...... NOTHING. It just stays there playing jazzed up elevator music to me. If I wanted that, i'm sure there is an app I could've downloaded titled "Crappy jazzed up elevator music over never ending title screen" SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! I want to play project torque so bad.

it's works for me fine.
Do the following:
1. deactivate your firewall and start the game (maybe it got blocked)
2. verify the game files (properties -> local files -> verify files -> if it finds something it downloads the corrupt file)
3. if that doesnt help try reinstalling

We have seen multiple people with this issue in the past week.

Not sure what causes it. Nothing in the log files or event Viewer.

I will try what you guys suggested, and I understand Jack, you are under alot of pressure working alone, but I really want to play this game. And I invest well into games I like and being a huge Gran Turismo fan and Need for Speed fan, i know I will love this game. And I will invest time and money into it. But I have to get it working first!

Yeah no good. Its not crashing and it does open, but it just sits there loading. Im sorry but Ive given up and moved on. Thanks anyway.

Wont even start for me. I get an error message before launch. Tried uninstall and installation, nothing. So it's official this game sucks even for free...

I played the OLD project torque every day, & was excited when I saw this on Steam almost 2 months ago, however after downloading it twice, trying every possible compatibility setup, verifying files, etc. it never once even booted up, on a brand new, up to date, gaming laptop... there's been at least 2, or 3 small updates since then, but I haven't even bothered to try to boot the game up, if the way the old project torque was handled is any indication, it may work in another few months, or 10 updates... I sure as ain't turning off My firewall, nor antivirus, so if You cannot get a game to work without being blocked by those, then I guess You're just trying to hack everybody, in which case, I don't wanna play it anyways.

YUP even WITH the firewall acception I just added, the game says it cannot connect to the server... At least it boots up, but who wants to look at a low rez front end screen, & a connection error?!? I know I don't.
