Ships are divided into fighters, bombers, and freighters. Freighters can get a little large, but this isn't a capitalship game, it's a fantasy spacefighter RPG. I'm not against it, but the considerations to get them working and get them to be done right are very very very very low priority.

just a disclaimer, i read the store page, i read the "temper expectations" steam news post, so i completely understand that you want to keep everything in scope as much as possible.

saying that, i'd be fine without having access to big dreadnoughts/cruisers etc. but if we could have ships that are big enough to have a 2 man crew in the "multiplayer campaign" that would be awesome. having a big freighter where 1 flies and shoots the forward facing guns while another shoots the turrets would be so cool.

but i also don't know exactly how this game works yet so that might not be possible if you are structuring the game to be like freelancer where we dont' really have "a pilot" we control just the ship itself.

It's structured like Freelancer. You'd be controlling the ship directly.

The main thing with capships is that if they're done, they need to be done right. That doesn't just mean giving them their own control scheme/things for crew stations/what have you. That also means they need to work within both the confines of the game itself, as well as the overall gameplay loop. Effectively, a good capship isn't a bigger fighter like it would be in say, a Freelancer mod. It'd almost be having to make up another game on top of the one that currently exists, and that's not easy.

Trainwiz...any Gunship options? Gunships were my favorite ships in Freelancer. :croc::critical:

Honestly? In my mind a gunboat's just a small capital ship.

Fair enough. I am excited about this game you are working on, and I wish you a successful launch. I have been a fan of your mods since the Skyrim days and wish you well. :Monokuma2_DGR::steamthumbsup:
