Game won't start in Ubuntu 18

Hi all,

Whenever I try to run the game, I see a startup screen that allows me to choose some graphics options, but as soon as I click OK a black window briefly appears and then the game quits.

When I start the game through a terminal, I get the following output;

Xlib: extension "NV-GLX" missing on display ":0".


I tried finding solutions to the 'Xlib: extension' error, but have not had any luck so far. Has anyone else had similar issues?

I have researched your CPU a bit, and it seems as though it is not powerful enough to run this game. However, the game should not have crashed like that, and that is the issue I want to figure out. When you say you saw some options, did you see the initial launcher menu? Or were you able to get all the way into the game itself where there were options like "Explore only mode", and yellow wallpaper in the background?

If I can figure out when the game has crashed, then I can investigate further.

So whenever I launch the game, all I get is the initial launcher options. As soon as I confirm my options, the game crashes. So no "Explore only mode" or yellow wallpaper.
