but why is that even a thing? if theres a story arcade mode then it should be separate from normal arcade mode. not forced when you go into arcade.
overall i love the game if you dont play online.
One is they completely amped up the difficulty to the point that its super turbo levels of hard. So if you actually want to stand a chance you have to drop it down to easy. Which from my point of view, is the day 1 difficulty setting.
Another is if you want to use Ryu or Chun Li in arcade, you're gonna have to pick one other ranger/villain first because you'll be forced to go through a fixed amount of matches. Why they didn't just make a seperate mode for individual story modes like how capcom handled SFV's character stories is beyond me.
Yeah, Power Rangers is still a children's franchise, but this game was made with older fans in mind. This is pretty much why characters like Devon from Beast Morphers or Koda from Dino Charge are not even in the roster. Not to mention they had a few pro gamers help in development (Daigo of FGC fame being one of them i believe) so the stupid hard difficulty you can blame on them since I'm very sure the difficulty is that way so that pro players can have a better dance with the AI. But god forbid they actually balance it for people 5 levels lower than them. And yeah, cause of this, they more or less try to make it tourney levels of polish. I mean if I can do some sick aerial combos as Tommy and Lord Drakkon and completely destroy opponents that way then yeah.
Sure difficulty was made a little harder on arcade post launch, at least for certain DLC characters like the Jungle Fury guy where you spend like half of it with just the one character.
In general though the difficulty isn't that bad. I'm by no means a professional player but I managed to clear everything.
You randomly bring up the fact the game was made with Unity because? Are only certain game engines allowed to have competent AI opponents or something?
Probably the biggest oof is you whining about Zord meter.
The concept of a "revenge meter" I believe was first introduced by Capcom way back in Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. It was added so matches wouldn't be so one sided and boring. A player just getting beat on could have a chance to comeback by using a super. It's been in pretty much every main Street Fighter with minor changes since and is even in other fighting games from different notable franchises.
Why are you getting upset over the fact the AI is getting it multiple times? That means you're winning. If they're somehow beating you with it, you should be getting it as much as they do so that should cancel out whatever it is that you're [motions hands all over the place] going on about.
It's also not that hard to just sit in the corner and hold block while the timer on the Zord meter runs out. AI doesn't really play any differently with it activated and in general they're not applying pressure constantly like a real player would.
not just arcade but the story is hard as well for what reason?? (also just to add the difficulty setting is only for arcade. it doesnt change story difficulty).
my unity comment is because MOST unity games are not pro gamer level hard to play. they usually laid back. also its a power rangers fighting game.... why on earth set the bar so high?
the revenge meter yes was done by capcom first, it was also later changed because of how bad it worked!! if youre going to have revenge meter then the player winning should also be building meter to combat that, not just sitting at zero.
you as why i question the AI gets megazord so many times but dont remember when i said the AI is set to pro gamer level?
scenario:
"i'm beating the AI but the just used megazord and got a lucky hit."
BUT hey I am now building meter... oh wait never mind the did a force swap and i lost a bar."
"well back to beating the AI for a little bit.... annnnnd they have megazord again...."
"OH WAIT..... never mind lost a bar"
end scenario
rinse and repeat this nonsense. this is why revenge meter is usually scaled down or removed in fighting games because the person WINNING should be rewarded FOR WINNING.
also yea sit in the corner (really just give them the corner) and block.... oh wait the AI "that doesnt do pressure" is doing pressure and just threw me because the window for a throw is like .01 of a second.
my thread for what you call "whining" is really more of just confusion because like me, and many other have stated, in other fighting games these things dont exist. its a power rangers fighting game. the crowd that youre going to attract is anything but pro level so why make a game for that level was me deal. i know im not alone in this thought since other have stated the same for the game.
its fun to play but it still just a head scratcher for the things they set in the game. just play it to have fun at this point.
How does one exactly change the difficulty? I tried to find the setting for it and I can't spot it anywhere. getting dunked on by 2 mastodon sentrys as kim in the story, complete BS.
