PS3 controller anyone? Problems with it

Hey everyone, so I have a Xbox controller for my usual games, but for fighting games like this I prefer using my old ps3 controller (and I don't really want to buy a ps4 controller because I don't play a lot of games like this).

I installed the official drivers that come with playstation now, this worked on Tekken 7, but here, only the sticks and some few random buttons work in a weird way, and changing the controls don't work.

I tried using the steam controller option feature for the game, and now my buttons all work correctly in the menu, I can bind them properly (the controller act like if it was a xbox controller with xbox button prompts) but once I'm ingame, the game thinks that I'm constantly pressing on X A and B all the time, they constantly appear in training mode, and I can't actually use these buttons (while they work in the menus).

Anyone tried using and ps3 controller and managed to do it?
I might have to use the xbox controller if I can't find a solution, but ugh...
