And even if you are a street fighter fan, playing other stuff that play differently can be good! You surely don't only play street fighter :p
it's my fave fighter of all time.
I dabble with king of fighters, samurai shodown, and the snk fighters. hate mortal kombat.
sf alpha 3 is ok. as for 3d fighters, virtua fighter 1 or 2 and tekken 3 takes the cake for me.
I'm old school.
No hate on other games (except mortal kombat because of the damn block button) - it's just that this is what I'm into when it comes to fighters.
Its functional, but against how the trained reactions work.
That's kinda impossible because the games are first designed with the blocking mechanics in mind. MK has a block button, hence walking and dashing speeds are affected by that and so are special moves like teleports that would simply not exist in "Hold back to block" games. You cannot really have the option without negatively affecting a part of the game's mechanics depending on the action (Hold back = Cannot block hitting teleports, Block button = Cross ups no longer exist).
