Smaller more numerous objectives based on important features on the map (except for skirmishes where they are more random).
Only single player no multiplayer is planned for this game.
More realistic unit organisation. Limited units to employ no endless units, but each unit is a platoon - use the retreat button to avoid losing units if they are getting weak. Task forces are used to configure your army. Any ground units can take objectives- HQ units in this game make surrounding units more efficient.
The present operations are played sequentially and form an evolving situation.
Overall I think its a lot better than Eugen's games, it's what I've been looking for for ages.
just played the demo missions and tutorials, can tell already this game is good and its such a breath of fresh air and way less chaotic than warno
If you want a single player cold war game, Regiments is your choice.
Its less bloated with unit types (not 5 variants of the same BMP-1) and also less units in the field.
What some dislike is that every skirmish/mission is time limited, but I like it as it forces you to push for it. You may have to take some casualties to archive victory.
Time gates makes me want to push harder and smarter for objectives, but varies from person to person. Endless mode would be lit though.
