How to fix game breaking issue

How do I fix this, every time I start the game up it comes up with \source\graphic\graphicscontect.cpp(1819) couldn't create texture from file.
What does this mean and how do I fix it

years ago i've had the same problem. But i cant remember...
Unistall the game and check if all files and game folder are deleted.
If it not work try the original game files from:
https://games.digipen.edu/games/perspective

The game seems to be utterly broken on modern systems, or maybe it was always broken, I don't know. It's such a shame, I was really interested in this, but I can't even get it to start...

go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Perspective, right click perspective.exe, then click on compatibility and check the box to execute in compatibility mode and select windows 7 on the dropdown list below, but it crashes after every level

Try to get write access to the folder C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ Perspective.
Or install the game in another folder (C: \ Programs XP \ Perspective).

It happened to me, i have dual Graphics card, so i have set it to the more powerfull one and it works now.

Getting windows to stop using internal graphic card for the game works!!! Good FIX Bonotix!

I had to google how to do it- https://www.quora.com/How-do-I-make-a-Steam-game-run-off-a-dedicated-GPU

in windows search for "graphics settings"

choose desktop app from dropdown list

browse and choose your perspective exe file (probable something like:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Perspective

Then click on the app options and select high performance instead of let windows decide and save

go to steam and play!

if anyone knows an easier way to get the game to stop crashing on start up let me know!

This fix still yields the same error for me

Setting it to be High Performance as mike suggested has worked for me, the game opens successfully now! Haven't encountered any in-game crashes either *fingers crossed*. Game looks pretty fun, thank you mike for the fix.

its so easy to fix , just go the graphics settings in your PC , browse the game , and select it , after selecting it , select the powerful GPU on your laptop/PC ,and now start the game again, now the texture problem is solved
