High GPU Temp
Idk if its because of the graphic settings or because the game is still in EA but i understand it still needs more work done overtime but i did notice my GPU jumping as high as 86C sometimes and that does scare me a little, is that normal?

As long as the jump in temps are temporary and don't break the 90C mark, it should be ok. If it's maintaining those temperatures however, you may want to consider lowering the graphics in-game. I haven't recorded GPU temperatures myself, but the fans do ramp up for a moment every so often (maybe 10 seconds) so I don't think you have to worry about its life being reduced.

it would help your frame rate if it was cooler so if possible i would add cooling item but nothing that would do damage i don't think

Not sure if you are on Nvidia or AMD but in either case if your GPU hits its threshold, between 95-100 for Nvidia and 90-100 for AMD the cards will throttle themselves down until the temps are under the threshold. I would imagine its actually already doing that to you.

I'd consider upping the air in your case, make sure its dust free. Also the temperature of your room 100% affects the temp of your PC. you can't (normally) cool a PC but a few degrees below ambient temperature. So if you're in a 85f degree room your PC will heat up much sooner than a room at 70 degrees Fahrenheit.

Take a look at your GPU utilization when you can, are you getting consistent 90% usage? You may want to check your cooling set up and make sure your case fans are oriented properly and everything is clear of dust.

While I was running 90-100% usage on my machines, I wasn't experiencing anything particular with overheating across 3 chassis.

Let us know what you find.

I get this too sometimes and it's to do with the storms. I only get it around some storm. But it will push my gpu (RX 6900 XT) to 90c-100c temp & 95c-110c Hotspot/Junction. If I look at the floor or look away from the storm it will instantly go down.

I'm on a 6800xt and not experiencing that at all. The highest mine has got so far was 62c with a hotspot of 78c. I do have a custom fan curve with that 0rpm fan nonsense turned off in Adrenaline though.

Settings in game are on HIGH preset btw, with a cloud step of 22, and Adrenaline Chill is turned on with my Min / Max set to 60 / 75

60 is perfectly okay for gaming. Mine sits at 60 for any game.

ETXBONES...it's not his cooling setup. I have the same issue on a brand new RTX 3090 that hits 500W TDP on your main menu. No other game in my library does this.

his cooling setup is not the issue the game is. sorry to say but ye i havbe a beast of pc and mine struggles playing ur game. i have to cap it or else i draw a massive 500+ watts the game is POORLY optimized.

his cooling set up could be a massive issue because even i dont hit those high of temps.

maybe also understand its the engine they are using, not the game? unity wasnt made for this but at the time they started working on the game (2016 era) it was the only good engine they could use. Unity has issues and its been painfully obvious however its a 2 person team, its easier to clean out your fans and dust and see if it fixes the issue other than blaming devs

Please be sure to report your issue via the F9 key in-game - I've seen some similar reports of this with higher end GPU's. The more data we have, the more it can be investigated.

I worked out is was the "Cloud Step Size" that was causing the problem on my gpu (RX 6900 XT). Turn it from 10 to 40 and don't get the same problem now.
