Best graphics for the game?

Hello, I have been trying this game out with lowest graphics and my game is still really laggy. I just want to mention that i've got a 3060 gpu that works perfectly fine with red dead 2 on decent/high settings. I dont know what to do to make the game more playable, because right now it lags too much for it to be fun. I also dont know if its just the game's badly optimization that makes me lag so much. Any help is appreciated.

i have a 3080, i play on default medium with this game. Almost all other games i run at high or ultra.

Use FSR/DLSS on ultra performance, that's the only thing that works for me, they wont work in the main menu so you'll need to be in a chase to see the effects.

And no, it's not a you problem, the developers are well aware of the current state of the (lack of) optimisation and are working toward fixes in patches soon to be! Just weather the storm out for now, I have faith they'll have it worked out soon.

You can increase your cloud downsampling setting, that will dramatically increase your performance while we work on a more permanent performance optimization solution.
