18+ DLC Patch: "How to Raise a Wolf Girl were not installed" fix.

thanks to the lovely folks at the sekai project discord server, i was able to solve this seemingly common error.
2 things are important

1: the steam install of the game MUST be on the same drive as your OS.
2: the patch.exe needs to be run as admin.

simple fix, should work. try 7-zip if the error continues.

This patch is very bad. I don't know why they not make a new patch?

It is installed on my "C" drive, my OS is on my "C", and I did run it as administrator, and it still says: "How to Raise a Wolf Girl were not installed"

I extract the patch file with 7zip and copy the 2 adult file in the diretory of hte game. Then i copy all files from the directory $plugindir in the directory plugin of the game. Started a new game and played it to the end and then it will be done.

It's not working for my. Also I'm not getting a "patch.exe". All there is is the "readme" notes (which are blank) and an application for the dlc, but it keeps saying it won't install.

I figured it out. I had the game and the patch downloaded to an external hard-drive. I moved the game to my internal hard-drive and the patch downloaded just fine. When I moved the game back, the downloaded files moved with it.

For me, yes, it had to be installed under the original steam game directory "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\How to Raise a Wolf Girl" to work. I normally use another internal drive for my games and it refused to work on that directory. I did not need to run as admin however, but thankyou for the information!
