Not catching prawn

I have started a new safe and am trying to get the fishing poles again.
I am still on the first rod (rank 1), I need to catch a prawn to get the rank 2 rod.
so far I have caught 100+ fish and 3 pufferfish (needed for rank 3 rod) but no prawn so far.

is there a way to maybe spawn a prawn?

I catch them off the dock at the second place you are supposed to mine. In South Hope. Try your luck there.

It doesn't matter what palce you fish odds are the same everywhere.
Meaning you can catch any fish anywhere.

Rest is just RNG.

Oh, did not know this. A lot of games have specific spots for specif things. Didn't know about this game. Thanks
