Newest patch - controller stopped working.
So a friend and I tried to play Hydroneer again after the DLC released, and where we used to not have any problem doing this even through remote play together we cant get it to work now.
For some reason steam/Hydroneer does detect there is a controller connected. Through a third party app I even made sure that the controller works. But Hydroneer doesnt seem to receive or process any input coming from the controller. Mouse and keyboard works fine.
So for now we cant play multiplayer as it requires one player to use a controller.
Is there anything we arent aware of that changed or is the controller support just broken at this point?

We've not seen any issues with controller support - we didn't touch any controller related code in recent patches so most likely not a bug.
Are you sure you've set up the secondary controller correctly in steam remote play? There should be a guide in the esc menu when you have a connecting player.

I mean I cant even play singleplayer with a controller at this point. So even I try to set up player 2 correctly, like we did in the past, it doesnt even show a controller connected for me to assign to player 2.

A screenshot with no controllers showing

Edit: Also just checked in the steam option with the controller calibration. Steam sees the controller just fine.
