What happened to the in-game Wiki?
Input screen says default key is B, but neither uppercase nor lowercase B key produces any reaction whatsoever. I changed the default to another key. Same result. Nothing. Is anyone else experiencing this issue or is it perhaps just something to do with my PC? By the way, I'm not running any mods either, just the vanilla game.

It is not pulling up for me either. I just checked my game. So it is not your system. Something has changed. I haven't played in a while so couldn't tell you what exactly. Sorry.

Working fine for me. Nothing has changed whatsoever. Site is up and the game opens it on my end as it should.

Ok, I'm playing the DLC. Are you on the base game? Wonder if that is the difference.

I'm in the base game. Not working. Maybe some difference between steam input and native game input ?

I'm not playing either atm. And both should direct to the same wiki. However, Itchy hasn't fully updated it to include the dlc stuff. So if you are trying to pull up info on something exclusive to the dlc, that might be why you don't get a response back.

Appending since I just did a little sanity check and it's still behaving how it was when I made sure it was working during testing. It still pulls up the wiki even with dlc content but searches for the next best thing. If I try looking up heavy drill for instance, it pulls up a search for drills in general.

I think the reason you aren't getting it to work is because you are using it wrong. The game detects what your cursor is pointed at for a search on the wiki, not what's in your mitts. You don't press B while holding an item. You press B while looking at an item. Which makes sense since some items can't be held by the player such as vehicles or heavy items.

tl;dr. You used it wrong. Try again.

First I don't use Itchy. Who does. You are in a Steam Forum. Second, I said had been a while since I played the game. I do not remember if you have to hold an item or point at it. Please read my post and don't be rude. K...

I wasn't meaning to be rude. Just telling someone they did something wrong is not an attack on them. I was just doing my usual thing of checking these forums and trying to help out.

Btw Itchy is one of the devs. He's the one that works on the wiki. He also does the art and animations in the game. And he's a cool guy imho.

Anyways, if you read through this forum, you see you aren't the only one that used it wrong. A few others replied it wasn't working for them as well. That said, not bugged and you're all goobers :)

Sorry, thought you were referring to itchio when you posted. I have never heard of itchy. I always talk with max.

I was mistakenly under the impression that the default "B" key was for general, non-specific access to the Wiki and not purely item-specific.

I also just noticed that there's a button labelled "B Wiki" in the bottom right hand corner of the main screen which works for general reference.
