sorting veggies

Will there ever be a better machine from sorting veggies? I've been using the resource sorter and the veggies always get stuck even if I space them out.

I'm sorting them whole. That way I can control if I want to make seeds or not.

You can make seeds from chopped veggies, in fact thanks to a tip i was given, using a chop saw you can make whole numbers of chopped veg and use that to make seeds with no 0.xx wastage being lost.

This is my setup i used, sorry its a bit dark, veg come in on the right from the harvester, get chopped, sorted and stacked as they move left:

Never had a clog from this setup, especially if using the harvester, dumping to much from a basket or pan onto a belt can cause some issues, but you deal with that :D

Thats kinda why I asked. Sorting whole veggies was a little wonky. Chop first, sort later and send what you want to the seedmaker.

Okay... So I moved the cutter to the first part of my machine and put a couple of my veggies in to test and I still had this problem (that was when it hit the sorter at all... I had the funnel things but the veggies just got completely stuck in that thing.)

I see, thats a manual sorter. Never tried to sort veggies with that. The manual sorter is kinda wonky with everything. What you need, (since you already use conveyors) is a conveyour sorter , or in most cases a sorter for each veggie your'e growing.

You can also sort the output of the seed maker and store the seed packets.

Yeah, the conveyor sorters will sort out anything you put on the top tray, gems,ores,fish. They are a little hit and miss sorting whole veggies though, at least they were for me. Which is why I asked the first question. Have fun.

Also, there is a left and right sorter conveyor. In my first pic I'm using the lefts and rights in the second pic.
