Anyway to pick up dirt clumps?

So I got my first drill and It's shooting out dirt all over the place. So I thought, I'll use my pan to collect the dirt like I do for everything else only to find when I lift up the pan that all the dirt just went through it.

Is there a reliable way to collect dirt that isn't conveyor belts? I can't afford them at the moment.

You could press escape and use the remove all dirt chunks option on the menu there and fix your problem with the drill. It depends on how bad your pile is. You can pick them up individually and put them into your harvester. You do have a harvester? And repair wrenches for when they stop working? Have fun.

Yeah I have all that. I just don't want to have to manually pick up each chunk and throw it into the harvester.

If your'e at Embers cradle you can build a small setup right at the water front that won't need conveyors, just a bucket and a seperator if you want. There is a pic of it in the workshop. You can always fish for money to buy better stuff. It's a little slow at first but its worth it once you get past all the hand to mouth stuff and start automating. Keep having fun. Don't let the grind grind you down.

There's also a Magnet on a Stick. This can be used to pick up masses of Dirt, Raw Nuggets, and Bars. It takes a little practice to manage it, so be careful. It can be found in one of the Shops in Bridgepour.
