Stuck in tutorial

I just bought this game and when i go into tutorial i cant move my camera not move my character at all?

Do you have a controller connected to your computer?!? If so, Hydroneer may detect it and make it the primary control device. If you DO have a controller, try using it and see if it works. Otherwise, you could check in settings and make sure the keyboard is the primary controller...

No I dont but im able to move if i make a new world, but i have no idea what to do

also stuck and I don't have a controller. I can get the mouse to move if I press ESC and go into settings then back out but my character still won't move at all.

If the tutorial is this bad, I don't even want to bother with this buggy mess. Refunding

Hi all. I have an xbox controller plugged in and the tutorial won't let me move, only pans the camera round using both mouse+key or controller.

Unplugged controller still no luck in tutorial after quitting and restarting. Tried running a new game and have no idea how to use bucket or brush or do anything. Please help.

As to what to do when starting a New World, you'll find yourself at an intersection. In one direction you'll see an open area of Dirt. In the corner nearest you, you'll find a Shovel, a Pickaxe, a Bucket, and a Pan. Diagonally opposite the open area of Dirt, you'll find a Shop with Pipes, a bed, Miners Helmets, and various tools. Across the street from the first shop and the Dirt area, you'll find a second Shop that has a single Miner and a single Harvester, along with Repair Toolkits and Wrenches. The First Shop is Mining supplies and the second Shop is a starter Machine Shop.

The Dirt area is your starter Claim. You own it. You can use the Shovel to scoop Dirt into either the Bucket or the Pan (Bucket can hold up to 4 scoops of Dirt while the Pan can only hold a SINGLE Scoop). You cannot use the Brush on the Bucket, so it's better to just use the Pan for the Dirt. Use the Bucket to get water from the River that runs through the middle of the Claim and pour it into the Pan. Then pick up the Brush and apply it to the Pan with the scoop of Dirt and the water in it. You'll end up with a Nugget. It'll either be a Nugget of Ore (Iron, Gold, Cloutium, or Corestone) or an Unpolished Gem (Emerald, Sapphire, Ruby, Onyx, or Diamond). Each scoop of Dirt has a chance to be any of the above. You can leave the Nuggets in the Pan and keep going (single scoop of Dirt into the Pan, add water, apply brush) repeating the process until the application of the Brush causes a Nugget(s) to fall out of the Pan. Pick up the Nugget(s) and drop them into the Pan. Pick up the Pan and follow the road up the hill (across the Bridge) and take it to the Jeweler on the other side of the Well at the top of the hill. Drop the Pan on the Table and push the button. The Nuggets will vanish and coins will appear in the bucket beside the table. Pick up the Pan and carefully drop it on the ground (don't drop it into the Well). Pick up the coins and carefully drop them into the Pan. Pick up the Pan with the coins in them and head back down the hill. Repeat the process until you have enough coins to start purchasing Pipes and eventually purchasing your first Harvester and then Miner (get the Harvester first - the Miner is mostly useless until you have a Harvester). All equipment is powered by Water Pressure.

Things start getting more complex from there. My suggestion is to go to You Tube and search for "How to Play" videos for Hydroneer. The newer the video, the better (preferably from March 2022 or later). The basics are the same since then, but there may be things in older videos that no longer exist or are different...

Legend mate will be looking into it further, shame the tutorial doesn't work but will work with what we got!

look at the shadow on the ground, you can see your character stuck in a floating T pose

Same. I bought the game and wanted to go through the tutorial, but the character stands in a T-pose and does not move. Everything is fine in the new game.

Same issue here. I have made a new world and everything works fine there. But my character is stuck in a T pose as soon as I start the tutorial. Weird.

Clicking unstuck does not fix the issue.

We're looking into this issue. Looks like something happened on the last patch that broke something. For now, you can click esc, go into the screenshot camera, exit out of it, and you'll be able to move. We'll get this fixed in the next hour or so.
