It's a PITA, but not the end of the world. Similar to Hydrocoins (HC) on Bastion Island, earning HC or Scout Tokens (SC) on Volcalidus is not difficult. I have 3 fully operable Mines, plus 2 repaired Abandoned Mines on Volcalidus. 2 of the Mines use regular Lava Miners (LM) and Lava Harvesters (LH). One Mine is built with 8 Heavy Lava Miners (HLM) and a Heavy Lava Harvester (HLH). The HLH is probably at the bottom of Tier 1, which may be why the only Ore the Heavy Mine is not producing is Corestone. I have my Tier 2 regular Lava Mine operable ONLY for the production of Corestone, but My Heavy Mine can supply everything else. I have several Piles of HC scatter around Shops in New Glade and Burside, plus a Pile each of HC in my Lava Hauler and Lava Truck. I also have a Pile each of ST in my Lava Hauler and Lava Truck. I got PLENTY of HC and ST, which are VERY easy to earn with just a little time...
it scrapped my coins without it even being on the dang platform :steamsad:

Yeah, it's a known issue. Can happen at the Bridgepour Scrapyard, too. Just make certain whatever you DON'T want Scrapped is on a vehicle and move it down the street. I'm not certain what the area is that can be scrapped, but, like I said, I'd have anything I diidn't want scrapped either all the way in Bridgepour Harbor or down at the end of the street by the River.

Personally, I rarely use the Scrapyard. If I have excess materials, I'll try to use them at another Claim...

At Bridgepour I usually park the truck just outside the gate and to one side or the other.
The first time teaches you to check before you push the big red button.
SCraapp
They are technically protected from the scrapyard. However, that's only in the situation of single item being scrapped. Multiple objects being scrapped kinda boogers up and overrides the protected status. Known bug. The item changes for 3.0 kinda had a few edge case annoyances like that.
