Do Logic Gem Compressors require Filters?
I know that Miners and Harvesters require filters to keep functioning, but I cant find anything about Logic Gem Compressors. They require water, but I've never had them off the filtered line. I am changing my setup and want to run them on unfiltered water. Will they break?

I do not believe that Gem Compressors are affected by dirty water. That being said, when I build my Claims, I generally only use a single Intake Pipe for the whole Claim Site. That Intake Pipe has a Straight Pipe with a Logic Valve on it (this allows me to turn off the WHOLE CLAIM with a single flick of the switch) followed by 5 x Straight Pipes each with a Water Filter on it (and automatic Repair Circuity on each Filter), before distributing out to my water supply for the Miners separated from the water supply for the Conveyors/Harvester/Sorters/Smelters/Gem Compressors. This means that EVERYTHING at the Claim is protected from damage....

Thanks. I did a similar setup on my first site, but I want to expand the plumbing a bit, complicate things a bit if you will. I have already streamlined the production, so this is my next project...

I want to try running the mining equipment (Miners and Harvesters) on dedicated Cloutium pipes (filtered and automated), while keeping non-filtered Iron pipes separate (for things like vehicle refuel at dock, drip-line irrigation system for garden, extended conveyors from garden to kitchen). I like the idea of other non-essential use pipes staying away from my mining equipment, as I don't really know if pipe length, conveyors, or other machines use up filter durability while also not breaking. The wiki is vacant regarding their operation.

From what I can gather so far, the only machines that will break are the Miners and Harvesters, so I guess I will just put it into production and see what happens. Thanks for your help! :)

My understanding is that the Water Filters each clean the water by 20%. Once you get past the 5th Filter, the water is considered clean and does NO damage to anything beyond that. Anything located past that point has NO influence on the functionality, performance, or failure rate of each Water Filter. The load does not affect that issue. The advantage of using Cloutium or Corestone Pipes is water pressure. That affects the speed of the Conveyors and any other equipment. Additionally, a Pressure Tank will restore the water pressure from the point of the Pressure Tank onward. Pressure Tanks restore the water pressure to what it was when it exited the Intake Pipe. If the Intake Pipe has Pressure Booster installed on it (up to 4 Pressure Boosters per Intake Pipe, and they're built at The Big Forge at Icehelm), the water pressure will be increased before it exits the Intake Pipe...
