WHY DOES THE CRANE TRUCKS CRANE NOT WORK SOMETIMES?

my character just falls through the map when i press F but when i press Q it comes back

You should not fall through the map when trying to operate the Crane. I've used the Crane a LOT, especially lately, as I've built a Heavy Lava Drill Mine with a Heavy Lava Harvester. Both those objects require the Crane to move and place them, and the Mine has over 6 x HLD's and a HLH.

I've found the Crane works best if you press Q to drive the vehicle and THEN press F to control the Crane. Let me know if that helps at all.

If this does not help, then this sounds like a local issue. Check your AV and make certain it's configured to NOT scan the folder where Hydroneer is installed. Also, make certain your Graphics Drivers are fully up to date.

i am in the truck and when i press F it falls through the map but it is still in drive mode ill make a new save tho that might fix it

Gotta love programs that are too smart for their own good, and end up interfering with operations elsewhere...

If you fall through the ground when you press F - this is due to a mod you've installed. Try uninstalling the mod.
