Oof, i'd tell you what doesnt work but they will ban me, and then i wont be able to post more crap here.

1) Ring is one bar and one gem, read the recipe carefully
2) You must heat up all metals before forging anything and strike them before they cool off
3) Actual sword is 3 bars. Dagger is 1 bar.

An axe is 2 bars. Necklace is two bars and one gem.

If it isn't working, the bars are most likely too cold. Pop them in a furnace for a few seconds to warm them up.

You need to heat the bars on the fire first, and select what item you want to create on the anvil. Then put the required items there and hit the anvil with the bs hammer.

Also, make sure your anvil is PLACED. Just dropping it to the ground wont work.

Just to clarify for people too thick to understand everything, I'll put the details in a single post:
  1. Dagger
    • 1 Bar in position 1
  2. Axe
    • 2 Bar in positions 1 and 2; Watch the positions in which the Bars need to be. For simplification process, if it needs two bars of the same Ore, but different weights, make it easy for yourself and just make BOTH Bars of the heavier weight so they don't end up in the wrong position. If they're different Ores, make them as accurately as you can, rounding UP. Use the Logic Saw Hook (which only does Integers - no decimals).
  3. Sword
    • 3 Bar in positions 1, 2, and 3; Watch the positions in which the Bars need to be.
  4. Ring
    • 1 Gem in position 1 and 1 Bar in position 2
  5. Necklace
    • 1 Gem in position 1, 2 Bar in positions 2 and 3; Watch the positions in which the Bars need to be.
Gems do not need to be heated. Ore Bars are placed directly into the Furnace or in a Pan with all the Bars, NOT in a Crucible. Heat the Bars for AT LEAST 15 seconds (real time). Ore Bars need to be placed in the correct position, as numbered on the Scroll and the Anvil. Since any requested item must meet or exceed the requested weight, identical Ores should just exceed the heavier weight to avoid confusion during construction.

Let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Please be as detailed as you can in your questions.

Nice write up. Just to let you know though: the order for the ring doesn't matter. I use bar then gem and it still works.

Don't confuse the issue. Better to be TOO detailed rather than not enough detailed.
