Missing Ship

I installed the dlc and am at the dock but no ship. I tried restarting but still nothing. What am I missing?

Are you carrying or wearing anything?!? NOTHING can be taken to Volcalidus nor can anything be brought back. I suspect the entry point detects for that an makes the ship available or not... Some people have just hung around the Port for a bit, turned away, and, when they turned back, found the ship waiting... I had no issues, so I'm just going on what others have said. One suggestion that I remember seeing is to Save and Exit Hydroneer, exit out of Steam (make sure it's fully shut down including in the System Tray to the lower right), restart Steam, and make sure ALL updates are installed. You may need to do that several times, as there have been several large Bug Fix updates for the DLC.

I started a new game and went straight to the dock so I know I don't have anything on me. I will restart steam and make sure everything is up to date.

I did the same thing and had no issue. The Boat was waiting for me. Since they're all broken anyways, maybe remove ALL MOD's (there's a note for additional manual removal process in one of the PINNED Discussions) and see if that helps?!?

This is happening because the DLC is not installed properly. The easiest way to trigger this is to right click Hydroneer in your steam library, press 'properties', 'DLC', then make sure the DLC box is checked. If it is already checked, try unchecking it, waiting for the DLC to uninstall, then check the box again to install the DLC.

I tried removing the dlc and reinstalling it. Still no ship. I uninstalled the game and the reinstalled the game and the dlc. Still no ship. I have never used any mods.

I also installed the game on my steam deck. I did a local install using the files from my pc. The ship shows up on the deck but still nothing on my pc.

OK. After doing all the things listed here, restarting my pc and reinstalling the dlc 14 times (literally), I finally got it to show up on my pc.

If I install the DLC, will it go to my save world previously or do I have to make a new one?

No the real reason is if you click on hydroneer once in game library you will notice it currently says under featured journey to volcalidus dlc (OUT NOW) click on it and you have to pay currently £8.50 gbp for the dlc that's why it won't show up when you load in

Whatever happened to the "Trade Ship" that used to be in the main game?

That was part of Hydroneer v1.x. It was removed when v2.x came out as there was a complete rewrite of the game. I wouldn't expect it to return any time soon, as the Dev's have said that removed Items or Devices should not be expected to return...
