As for crafting the ring: hot gold bar in first slot, gem in the second slot, and make sure you actually click on the anvil to cycle through the available recipes to actually be crafting the ring.
Edit: also, there is a blacksmith hammer and a construction hammer, and they are NOT interchangeable.
To be fair it is written at the bottom of the screen at that stage of the tutorial, but noted, we'll look into making it clearer in the future :)
Please post a screenshot of the anvil as you try and craft so we can advise what you may be doing wrong, thanks!
Ive tried the controller but it appears to have no action button I could make do anything. K+M I managed to get the "you managed to pick up an object" award.... Maybe its me, but I just cannot click with the controls. What am I missing?
And due to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ $team 2 hour limit on refunds, it doesnt leave much time to sit there and try and patiently persevere and see whats going wrong...
As for the Anvil, it must be PLACED to be used, not dropped. You place an anvil by picking it up, left clicking to locate where you want to place it, and left clicking again to PLACE it. Once placed, left click on the Anvil to choose what you want to create. From a blank Anvil, the first click will select Dagger, second click will select Battle Axe, third click will select Sword, forth click will select Ring, and fifth click will select Necklace. It'll then cycle through those 6 selections (Blank, Dagger, Battle Axe, Sword, Ring, and Necklace). Each option will then provide marked, depressed rectangles numbered 1 to 3 (as needed for the Item), that represents where each Ore or Gem should be placed. You then need to look at the scroll as it will also have numbered Ore or Gems. The numbers need to match to construct the correct Item. If the Scroll says 1. X Iron, 2. Y Gold, 3. Z Ruby, those Ore/Gems must be placed in those slots with the correct or heavier weight than identified on the Scroll. Most people just recommend rounding up to the next whole number, as the Saw Hook with a Number Keypad can only cut to a whole number.
Therefore:
- 30 x Gold
- 257.5 Iron
- 86.5 Ruby
...does NOT equal- 30 x Gold
- 86.5 Ruby
- 257.5 Iron
The Gold will end up in the correct spot, but the Ruby and the Iron will not. In this case, the Necklace will NOT be made (Necklace and Sword are the only items that use 3 materials, but only Necklace uses a Gem - materials CAN be duplicated), as the Gem MUST be in slot #3. It also does NOT equal:- 257.5 Iron
- 30 x Gold
- 86.5 Ruby
The Ruby will end up in the correct spot, but the Gold and the Iron will not. In this case, the Necklace will be made but it will not be accepted by the requester. If you have any further questions, please clearly identify what you're having an issue with...
