You can buy a scale in the shop, either right by the first harbor, where you arrive, or in New Glade. The Scale will show 2 numbers, one is the weight, the other is the value in Hydrocoins.

And how exactly do you measure the weight of a bar? I ask because the comma/point is missing on the logic keyboard and I have to deliver a bar of 1.5 and with a saw I can't measure accurately :)

The logic saw can only separate materials into even numbers. If you want an ingot with a weight of 1.5, you have to use the logic saw to create a 3 weight ingot and saw it in half with the hand saw. Or you can just deliver a 2 weight ingot. The NPCs will accept stuff that is heavier than what they requested. And 0.5 waste? Who cares?

Yeah, weights in Hydroneer do not need to be EXACT, they just have to EXCEED the requested amount. Iron and Gold are so plentiful in the game that an extra amount less than 1 more than the request should not be too painful. Initially, I do not accept Ore Nugget requests larger than 2.5 weight, because it's difficult (nearly impossible) to get anything larger than that at the Starting Claim. I also avoid Cloutium and Corestone requests as the latter cannot be found at the Starting Claim and the former is rare.

Some quick comments on the Scale. As noted previously, there are two numbers on the scale. The top number is the VALUE while the bottom number is the weight. All Scroll Requests WILL refer to weight. The scale can be just dropped on the ground and it will still work. You can even hold it in your hand, above the weighing plate, and the scale will display both. Just be careful if you PLACE the Scale on the ground. It is possible to place it INTO the ground making the bottom number not visible. If you only see ONE number, then you need to adjust the placement of the scale to make certain BOTH numbers are visible. This is a common issue that new players encounter.

If the ground is too uneven to drop the scale and have it stand upright, one can purchase blocks. The blocks can be placed on/in the ground to provide a flat surface upon which the scale can go....
